Biffa Group is seeking an LGV Driver to join our Residential Food Waste Collections team at the Hailsham depot. You will drive a large rigid vehicle on local routes, collecting and emptying food waste caddies, and working with a supportive crew.

The role requires an LGV/HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a good understanding of road safety. It offers outdoor work, team collaboration, and opportunities for training and progression with Biffa.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

LGV Driver – Residential Food Waste Collections

Location: Hailsham Depot

Pay Rate: £16.67p/h

Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00

New Food Waste Contract – Immediate & 2026 Start Dates Available

We’re looking for LGV Drivers to work as part of a crew to join our new Residential Food Waste Collections team.

You’ll be responsible for collecting and emptying food waste caddy bins across local routes on a multi-collection basis.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, using their own initiative and working as part of a team.
