Job summary

Biffa Group at Ipswich Depot is seeking an LGV 2 Driver for AM shifts. You will drive LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, working in outdoor conditions. The role offers a 45-hour week with overtime potential and a start time around 4am.

Only candidates with a valid LGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC, plus prior Class 2 driving experience, should apply. Training and benefits are provided, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a crew, depending on the role.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders and collect/empty bins for trade waste customers.
• Operate as part of a single-person crew when required and outdoor work.
• Adhere to route schedules and safety protocols while representing the company.

Job description

LGV 2 Driver - AM Shift

Location: Ipswich Depot
Days of work: Monday - Friday, 45hr contracted week, plus the opportunity for overtime and to earn bonus.
Start times: 4am - 06:00

Pay: £16.87p/h

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
