Job summary

Biffa Group is hiring for an LGV Driver on the AM shift in the United Kingdom. The role involves driving LGV vehicles (Class 2) to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, Monday to Friday, starting at 05:00 and finishing around 14:30. This outdoor role offers on-the-job training and contributes to improving local environments.

You will work with a small crew or independently, ensuring safety and quality in daily vehicle checks and customer service, aligned with Biffa's values.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 driving licence.
• Driver CPC / DQC (Driver Qualification Card).
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
• Awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins.
• Work as part of a single person crew or in a crew as required.
• Carry out duties outdoors and use initiative to support local communities.

LGV Driver - AM SHIFT

Pay rate: £16.87p/h

Monday - Friday

Start Time: 05:00 - 14:30

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
