Job summary

Biffa is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift at Burgess Hill Depot. You will operate LGV vehicles to collect and empty trade waste bins, on a Monday to Friday schedule starting at 04:00, for a 45-hour week.

The role suits someone who works independently outdoors and wants to contribute to the local environment and communities.

Qualifications

• Full, valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Previous LGV driving experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders and collect/empty trade waste bins.
• Work outdoors with initiative and independence, serving local communities.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and road-safety regulations.

Job description

LGV Driver - AM Shift

Location: Burgess Hill Depot
Days of work: Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)
Start Time: 04.00am
Hourly Rate: £16.87 (Occasional Saturday overtime)

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
