Job summary

Biffa Waste Services in the United Kingdom is seeking an LGV 2 Driver to join our outdoor operations. You will drive waste collection vehicles, loading bins, boxes and bags from households while following safety rules.

You will work as part of a crew, with leadership opportunities, carrying out street cleansing tasks and helping protect local environments.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from households.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Work as part of a crew and show leadership when required.

LGV 2 Driver

Pay Rate: £16.67p/h

Monday to Friday,

Start Time: 06:45 Finish Time: 15.15

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags* from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
