Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV Driver Loader to join a crew outdoors. You will drive waste collection vehicles, empty bins and assist with street cleansing duties. The role requires initiative and leadership within a team, delivering services that improve local environments and communities.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles and empty bins, boxes and bags from households.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.

Job description

LGV Driver Loader

Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

Start/Finish Times: 06.30 to 15.00

Hourly Rate: £17.35

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
