Job summary

Biffa Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a class 2 LGV driver to join our waste services team. You will operate large rigid vehicles, collect trade waste from customers, and work outdoors at various sites.

The role requires a valid LGV/HGV Class 2 license, Driver CPC, good safety knowledge, and reliable daily vehicle checks. You’ll join a company known for its long history and commitment to diversity and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect bins and containers.
• Operate as part of a single-person crew outdoors, delivering efficient waste collection.
• Ensure safety and compliance with health and safety procedures while on duty.

£16.87p/h Monday to Friday (occasional weekend cover) Start Time: 04:00 Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
