Job summary

Biffa Group in Hastings is seeking an LGV Driver Loader for an immediate start. You will drive LGV waste collection vehicles and load bins, boxes and bags from householders, with early start times 06:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

This role offers an hourly rate of £16.67 and on-the-job training. You will work as part of a crew, support street cleansing tasks, and contribute to keeping local communities clean and safe.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• A good understanding of drivers’ hours and road transport legislation.
• A good level of health and safety awareness, with the ability to follow company procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work part of a team.
• A flexible and reliable approach to work, with good timekeeping.
• The ability to carry out vehicle safety checks and report defects.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from householders.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Support the team and work outdoors with initiative.

Start/Finish Times: 06.30 to 15.30
