Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift, operating Monday to Friday with 45 hours per week and overtime available. You will drive LGV vehicles, including front and back loaders, to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, working outdoors and using your own initiative.

The role requires a valid UK LGV Class 2 licence, CPC, Tachograph Card, good knowledge of drivers’ hours and road transport legislation, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• A good understanding of drivers’ hours and road transport legislation.
• A good level of health and safety awareness, with the ability to follow company procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible and reliable approach to work, with good timekeeping.
• The ability to carry out vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• A commitment to safe and responsible driving.
• Previous LGV Class 2 driving experience is desirable.

Job description

LGV Driver - AM SHIFT

Monday to Friday (45 hours per week with overtime available)

Hourly rate: £16.87

Start Time: 04.00

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
