Job Title: LGV Driver

Salary: £43,510 + 10% uplift for night work, meal allowance (£5 per day), and £1,000 retention bonus.

Start Time: 16:00 hrs

Shift: Monday to Friday (48 hours)

Company Overview

Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provides food waste collection services for businesses including restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collaborate with waste management companies, brokers, and councils to collect food waste, which is processed into biogas for electricity, heat, or biofuel using advanced technology.

Role Summary

The LGV Driver will be responsible for collecting and emptying food waste wheelie bins on a multi-collection basis. This physically demanding role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, with late starts and the use of personal initiative to make a difference to the environment and communities.

Responsibilities

1. Multi-collections of food waste wheelie bins.
2. Cover weekend work when applicable.
3. Perform additional duties as necessary.
4. Hold a valid Class C Licence.
5. Maintain a safe and efficient driving record.
6. Take ownership of tasks, prioritize effectively, and complete them thoroughly.
7. Demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
8. Have good geographical knowledge.
9. Work well within a team.
