Job summary

Biffa Group is hiring an LGV Driver Loader to operate waste collection vehicles across our routes in the UK. You will collect and empty household bins, boxes and bags and contribute to street cleansing efforts as part of a crew.

The role suits individuals who enjoy outdoor work, using initiative, and leading on-site teams. A valid LGV/HGV licence, CPC and Tachograph card are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous commercial HGV driving experience.
• Experience driving a refuse/waste collection vehicle.
• Comfortable with manual handling and waste collection duties.
• Daily vehicle checks with defect reporting.
• Confident following planned routes and collections safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from households.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Work as part of a crew and may lead teams outdoors.

LGV Driver Loader

Days of work: Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week

Start and finish times: 05.30 to 15.00

Pay : £19.87p/h Salary £43,912

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.

Requirements
