Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV Driver Loader to operate LGV waste collection vehicles on a Monday to Friday schedule from 06:30 to 15:00. You will collect and empty bins and boxes from residents and perform street cleansing tasks such as sweeping and litter picking, working as part of a crew.

The role offers on-the-job training and access to employee perks, with a focus on safety and community impact. Prior Class 2 driving experience is preferred and a valid CPC is required.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Able to follow health & safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles and collect/empty bins and boxes from households.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Work as part of a crew and support loading/unloading and other operational duties.
