Job summary

Biffa Group is hiring an LGV Driver Loader to operate waste collection vehicles on a Monday–Friday schedule, 42.5 hours per week, 05:30–15:00. The role pays £19.87 per hour, roughly £43,912 annually, with duties including loading and street cleansing tasks across local communities.

You will work outdoors, often taking initiative and possibly leading a small crew, contributing to cleaner streets and safer neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• LGV/HGV license and Driver CPC are essential.
• Tachograph card is required.
• Experience driving HGV and waste collection vehicles is preferred.
• Able to perform manual handling and operate vehicle safely.
• Capable of daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Able to follow planned routes and collect efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles to collect and empty bins, boxes and bags.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Work outdoors and use initiative with potential team leadership.
• Ensure safety procedures and daily vehicle checks are completed.

LGV Driver Loader

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.

• Do you hold a valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence?
• Do you hold a valid Driver CPC qualification?
