Would you like to work for one of the most successful construction and infrastructure companies in the UK?

Are you looking for the chance to gain a qualification whilst earning a wage?

We have a fantastic opportunity to train as a Quantity Surveyor, gaining a nationally recognised degree level qualification.

We deliver some of the UK’s most complex and critical infrastructure across six core sectors: highways, energy, water, nuclear, rail, and aviation for public and private customers. Working on projects and long-term frameworks, we believe in connecting people, places, and communities through innovative and responsible infrastructure.

Our people are our business. Through their expertise, we harness innovative ideas and approaches that enable us to safely and responsibly design and deliver resilient infrastructure upon which we all rely. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is part of Morgan Sindall Group plc, a leading UK construction and regeneration group with revenue of over £4.5 billion.

About Nuclear

Your UK nuclear multi-discipline delivery partner.

Join us as we deliver world-class infrastructure solutions within the UK’s nuclear sector. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has over a decade of experience in this highly regulated field, where our projects are known for their complexity and critical importance to national security. As a multidisciplinary company, we handle everything from design and construction to full project lifecycle management.

As an apprentice, you’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering impactful projects with a strong focus on safety, security, and sustainability. Whether working on major nuclear schemes, frameworks, or standalone projects, our emphasis is on responsible engineering and continuous innovation, making a tangible difference for clients, communities, and the environment.

You will be exposed to:

  • Administration of contracts
  • Producing construction forecasts for the works
  • Producing applications for payment
  • Maintaining accurate records of works undertaken
  • Establishing quantities from construction drawings
  • Using quality management and assurance systems to manage, monitor, and contribute to civil engineering projects
  • Communicating effectively with project teams and stakeholders
  • Working independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility for your work
  • Ensuring compliance with equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI) and ethical standards

Alongside daily work, you'll attend college on block release at the Nottingham campus, with accommodation and travel provided, to develop your technical knowledge and skills.

About the Role

A Quantity Surveyor is the financial linchpin of construction and infrastructure projects. You'll learn to cost projects accurately from conception to completion, ensuring all legal and quality standards are met.

As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you'll support financial control, reporting, and commercial performance management of projects from award to final account.
