Actemium Design - Process Engineer, Chorley

This position is with Actemium Design (formerly North West Projects), a national engineering design company focused on the Nuclear sector. Part of VINCI Energies, with a turnover of €14 billion, we are seeking a Process Engineer.

The Role
  • Ensure quality and compliance of engineering deliverables with requirements, standards, and procedures.
  • Develop safe, compliant engineering solutions that meet project needs.
  • Gather, document, and communicate requirements clearly.
  • Plan and execute engineering activities within budget and schedule.
  • Create and follow quality plans and project schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers and resource planning.
  • Report progress and generate innovative solutions.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Produce technical documentation and specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage configurations.
  • Support tender documentation and maintain technical standards.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and organize design reviews.
The Person
  • Degree with honours or Level 6 equivalent (preferably).
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry such as Nuclear.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CAD software.
  • Knowledge of design codes, standards, and legislation.
  • Experience in design, detailing, and supervision of engineering teams.
