MBDA’s Electrical Engineering Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship offers a funded degree starting September 2027 in Stevenage. You will balance university study with extensive on-site experience at MBDA, rotating through Electrical and related engineering functions, developing practical skills for missile system electronics.

You will study for a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a 4-year program, travelexpense coverage, and a competitive package including a joining bonus.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: minimum 5 at grade 4, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science/Technology subject.
• Post-GCSE routes: 3 A levels at 120 UCAS Tariff points with Maths and a Tech/Engineering subject (no grade below B).
• BTEC route: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering (DDM) incl. Further Maths distinction.
• Learning provider: University of Hertfordshire; T levels not supported for this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Study for an Electrical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship, achieving BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• Complete rotational placements within Electrical Engineering and related departments at MBDA.
• Attend the university one day per week with block teaching; be on MBDA site most days.
• Fulfil BPSS security checks and eligibility requirements.

Education

GCSEs: 5 GCSEs including English Language, Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject

A levels: Three A levels totalling 120 UCAS Tariff points, with Maths and a Tech/Engineering subject, no grade below B

BTEC: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering with minimum DDM, including a Distinction in Further Maths
