Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant Level 4 to join a caring secondary school in Pontypool, Torfaen. This key role supports pupils to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually within an inclusive learning environment.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, offering a competitive daily rate of £120 and strong opportunities for professional development within a supportive, faith-based school community.

Qualifications

Level 4 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
GCSE/NVQ Level 2 in English and Mathematics.
Experience in educational or childcare setting.
Strong IT skills and confidence with digital tools.

Responsibilities

Support pupils’ learning and development through tailored activities.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
Use IT and educational software to enhance learning experiences.
Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing in line with school policies.
