Job summary

The Holy Brook School in Reading is seeking a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and SEN needs. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support and help pupils engage positively with learning.

We value a caring, energetic, and resilient approach, with good English and Maths skills. The role is full-time, term-time only with INSET days, and involves safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (SEN/SEMH experience preferred).
• Desire to work with children with SEN, autism, or SEMH.
• Patient, nurturing, adaptable and resilient with a sense of humour.
• Good basic skills in English and Maths.

• Support pupils with SEN and SEMH on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN) - The Holy Brook School

Full Time, Term Time Only to include Inset days.

The Holy Brook School is a specialist community special school in Reading supporting primary-aged pupils (5–11 years) who experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Many of our wonderful pupils are neurodivergent, including those with autism (ASD) and ADHD. Our goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can emotionally regulate, build confidence, and truly thrive.

This role is working 5 days per week, term time only + INSET days, and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing within a friendly school community.

The Role:
