Job summary

William Reynolds Primary School & Nursery is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team during term time.

You will assist planning and delivering activities, support pupils individually and in groups, and help prepare resources while monitoring progress and promoting positive behaviour.

The role requires GCSE English/Maths, a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Understanding of child development and effective learning strategies.
• Experience running speech and language interventions.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, or willingness to develop this.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and welfare of children.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering learning activities.
• Support pupils individually and in groups to enhance learning.
• Help prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
