Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas. You will work in primary schools across Ellesmere Port, Little Sutton, Great Sutton and nearby areas, supporting lessons, groups and individuals to boost learning outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 TA qualification, have recent primary school experience and demonstrate patience, adaptability and strong teamwork. SEND/ASD/SEMH experience is advantageous as roles vary by school.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
• Recent experience working within a primary school.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• The confidence to work across different year groups and school environments.
• Experience supporting SEND, ASD, SEMH, speech and language needs or pupils with EHCPs would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons and independent activities
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour
• Supporting pupils with additional needs where appropriate
• Working alongside teachers to create an engaging classroom environment
