Academics is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work with primary schools across Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, daily supply to longer-term placements, with a salary of £95-£105 per day depending on experience and placement.

The position suits reliable, caring education professionals who can join a school team quickly and support pupils with varying learning needs. A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable, with SEND/phonic support valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school or education setting.
• Confident working with KS1-aged children.
• Patient, approachable and enthusiastic.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable; relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Support children in Years 1 and 2 with daily learning.
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing and early maths.
• Work with individuals and small groups.
• Support classroom activities and learning interventions.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
• Assist pupils requiring additional support.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to provide effective classroom support.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
