Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants for primary schools in Sheffield, offering flexible full-time and part-time positions across the trust.

You'll support pupils across classrooms, work with individuals and small groups, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment. DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Roles start as soon as possible with ongoing assignments and potential extensions into the academic year.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Experience working in a classroom environment or similar setting.
• At least 3 months’ experience working with young people.
• A positive, reliable and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new enhanced DBS.
• Fluent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary classroom.
• Work with pupils individually, in small groups and as part of whole-class activities.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources and general organisation.
• Promote pupils’ confidence, independence and personal development.
• Follow school policies and contribute to safeguarding practice.
