Job summary

Brewster Avenue Infant and Nursery School invites applications for two Teaching Assistant apprentices to join our team. You will support delivery of learning, assist in classroom activities and help pupils, including those with SEN, under supervision. The apprenticeship leads to Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Working hours align with term-time schedule; the role offers hands-on training through INSPIRE Education Group with a structured development plan.

Qualifications

• Essential - GCSE English Literature and/or Language - C/4 or above
• Essential - GCSE Mathematics - C/4 or above
• Desired - Functional Skills - English at Level 2 - Pass
• Desired - Functional Skills - Mathematics at Level 2 - Pass

Responsibilities

• Working with the class team to create a secure, happy and safe environment and assisting in keeping the environment clean and tidy
• Playing and interacting with the children to support their learning and development
• Working with small groups or individual children, including those with special educational needs, delivering class work or interventions
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with other staff, parents and carers
• Observing pupils and feeding back to the class teacher about learning to inform assessments
• Accompanying pupils on visits, trips and out-of-school activities as required
• Attending relevant meetings and training
