Job summary

Chalkwell Hall Junior School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support pupils and teachers across classrooms in a busy primary environment.

You will assist with individual and small-group learning, help with classroom tasks, and participate in after-school clubs as part of a 16-month apprenticeship to achieve a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Training is online/remote with on-site activity as required.

Qualifications

• Achieved GCSE grade C/4 or above in English & Maths.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with social and academic curriculum under teacher guidance.
• Attend to children's personal needs including basic first aid.
• Support teachers and clubs with preparation and supervision.
• Assist with activities outside the classroom and help with school policies and confidentiality.
• Support inclusion of pupils with special needs and EAL.
