Job summary

Long Term Futures is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND at a welcoming primary school in Walsall. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, delivering targeted interventions to boost academic, social and emotional development.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification and prior SEND experience in a primary setting. DBS checks apply, and this is a long-term temporary contract starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Experience supporting SEND in a primary setting.
• Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships with children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Support children with needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and learning challenges.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to implement individual learning plans.

• Help create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.

Long Term Futures is recruiting a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at a welcoming, two-form entry mainstream primary school in Walsall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys making a difference, building positive relationships and helping children with additional needs reach their full potential.

In this role, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Support children with needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and learning challenges.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to implement individual learning plans.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and engagement in learning.

We're looking for:

• A Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Previous experience supporting SEND pupils within a primary school.
• Confident adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
