Job summary

Woodlands Primary School in Sheffield is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join a caring team in EYFS. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027 and will work 37 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, providing high-quality support to pupils with varying needs.

You will work with class teachers to assist with teaching, support interventions, and ensure pupil safety while fostering positive relationships across the school community.

Qualifications

  • Support staff for children with needs including autism, ADHD, learning and speech difficulties and behavioural needs.
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing of pupils while supporting teaching staff.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to provide high-quality provision and targeted interventions.

Actual salary £23,459 to £25,410 (with under five years' service)

Woodlands Primary School

Woodlands Primary School is a 2-form entry primary and nursery for children aged 2-11 in a vibrant South Sheffield community. This popular and over-subscribed school has around 500 pupils. In February 2022, Ofsted graded our school as strongly Good.

The role

Woodlands Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, talentedand caring candidate to join our team as a teaching assistant level 3. This role will be based in EYFS and is fixed term until 31 August 2027.

This role is to work as part of a team of teaching assistants and alongside class teachers to assist with the teaching and support of children in order to provide high quality provision. Some of the children with whom you would be working could have specific needs. These may include autism, ADHD, learning and speech difficulties and/or social, emotional

and behavioural needs. You will be required to understand and support children facingthese barriers, alongside working more broadly with a wide range of children.
