Job summary

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne from September 2026. This is a part-time long-term role starting in September 2026, with flexible five-day-per-week availability.

You will support pupils to grow in confidence, develop new skills, and reach their full potential in an inclusive school environment, working closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to provide high-quality intervention and classroom support.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent essential.
• Experience supporting children within a school or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, caring and adaptable approach.
• Ability to motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their best.
• Excellent teamwork and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Available to work 5 days per week.

About the Role
