Job summary

Academics is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Sheerness and the surrounding area. This full-time role runs 8:30am–3:30pm with an immediate start, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification, have school experience and ideally SEN experience, be confident managing challenging behaviour, and hold a DBS (or be happy to apply for a new one). Driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience working within a school environment.
• Experience supporting children with SEN preferred.
• Be confident managing challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Be able to work across KS1 & KS2.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Assist with class management and pupil support.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Be flexible and adapt to different year groups.
