Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Ebbw Vale, Wales, to support pupils’ emotional development and wellbeing. You will deliver wellbeing interventions and assist with inclusive, anti-racist education.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, strong teamwork, and a proactive, caring approach. Primary duties include data tracking, resource preparation, and contributing to a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted wellbeing interventions to support emotional literacy and resilience.

• Support learning across the school both in class and through interventions.
• Assist with planning and preparing resources for wellbeing sessions.
• Provide classroom support or emergency cover when needed.
• Promote inclusivity and sensitivity to pupils’ backgrounds.
• Contribute to anti-racism and equality initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Participate in school events and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering targeted wellbeing interventions to support emotional literacy and resilience among pupils
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups to promote emotional and social development
• Tracking and analysing pupil data, in collaboration with the ALNCo, to monitor progress and inform support strategies
• Supporting children’s learning across the school, both in class and through intervention work
• Assisting with planning and preparing resources for wellbeing and intervention sessions
• Providing classroom support or emergency cover when required
• Promoting inclusivity and demonstrating sensitivity to pupils’ diverse backgrounds

Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, or previous experience working in a school or similar setting
