Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Ebbw Vale, Wales, to support pupils' emotional development and wellbeing within an inclusive, anti-racist school setting. You'll work across age groups, delivering targeted interventions and contributing to high-quality learning.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, proactive approach with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to pupils' emotional and social development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and engage in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Delivering targeted wellbeing interventions to support emotional literacy and resilience.
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups to support development.
• Tracking and analysing pupil data with the ALNCo to monitor progress.
• Supporting learning across the school in class and through interventions.
• Assisting with planning and preparing resources for wellbeing sessions.
• Providing classroom support or emergency cover when required.
• Promoting inclusivity and participating in anti-racist initiatives.
• Communicating with pupils, colleagues, and families; taking part in events.
