Job summary

Educato is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Stockport to recruit a Level 3 EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant from September. You will support early years learners, helping them build confidence, curiosity and independence in a nurturing environment.

You will work under the early years team, supporting individuals and small groups while promoting communication, literacy and numeracy. A DBS update service is preferred or the willingness to apply for one.

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS or nursery settings.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or EYFS qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
• DBS on update service or willingness to apply.

• Support the class teacher in delivering High Quality Early Years learning experiences.
• Work with individuals and small groups to promote learning and development.
• Encourage children's communication, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging and well-organised learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Support children's emotional wellbeing and personal development.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (preferred).
• Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine passion for education.
