Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Wakefield (WF1) on a part-time, on-site basis. The role covers Key Stage 1 and 2, with day-to-day or long-term cover and 1:1 SEND support where needed.

You will assist with phonics and guided reading, work with individuals and small groups, and bring strong communication and patient, adaptable support to help pupils access learning. The school offers supportive environment and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Wakefield who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.

The school is looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day or long-term cover across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will support phonics and guided reading, work with individuals and small groups, and provide 1:1 SEND support where necessary to help pupils access their learning.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Requirements

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school
• Experience supporting phonics and guided reading
• Experience providing 1:1 SEND support is desirable
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, adaptable and supportive approach
