Job summary

HealthJobs4U Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join a small, family-run early childhood education team. The role focuses on supporting children's development in a safe, nurturing setting, with shifts from 7:30 to 18:00, totaling 40 hours per week.

You will plan activities, supervise children, build relationships with families, and contribute to a cohesive team. A-Level or equivalent education is required, and knowledge of early years best practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in nursery or early years settings.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
• Strong verbal and written English communication to liaise with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and demonstrate leadership when needed.
• Experience in managing behaviour positively and supporting individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities aligned with early childhood curriculum standards.
• Supervise children during play, meals, rest, and outdoor activities with a focus on safety.
• Foster relationships to encourage independence, confidence, and social skills.
• Maintain records of children's progress and daily activities for planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality childcare.
• Communicate with parents regarding development and wellbeing.
• Uphold health and safety policies in a clean, safe environment.
• Assist in nursery routines, outings, and events.
• Support professional development of team members through mentoring.
