Job summary

Caring Kindergartens Peterborough is hiring a Nursery Practitioner with a Level 3 childcare qualification to join a dedicated team. You will observe and support children's development, plan engaging activities, and ensure EYFS standards and safeguarding practices are followed.

You will work collaboratively with staff to create a safe, positive learning environment, focusing on children's wellbeing and development while maintaining high-quality care and communication with families.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
• Excellent understanding of the EYFS.
• Strong English language skills, spoken and written.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and practices.
• Previous childcare experience in an early years setting.
• Cleared DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team and act as key worker for a group of children—observe, record and assess progress with photographic evidence.
• Develop high quality interactions with children to extend thinking and learning.
• Plan, prepare and deliver a range of play experiences promoting physical, intellectual and emotional development.
• Ensure activities draw from children’s next steps, observations and interests within EYFS.
• Support each child in developing self-esteem, confidence and belonging.
• Model friendly, caring and respectful behaviour towards children and families.
• Attend training to stay updated with current issues and practices.
• Maintain hygiene standards in line with nursery policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive nursery team environment.
