Job summary

Randstad NV is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join the Early Years team in Horley. The role focuses on safeguarding, planning engaging EYFS activities, and building strong relationships with families and staff.

You will act as a Key Person, support development, and ensure safe, hygienic daily routines in a warm, stimulating environment for children aged 0-5. A Level 3 childcare qualification is required and an enhanced DBS is expected or may be obtained prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Proven EYFS experience in a nursery setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and child protection awareness.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a designated group of children and monitor progress.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities aligned with EYFS.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and safeguarding across the setting.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues through clear communication.
• Support day-to-day nursery routines including meals, rest periods and outdoor play.

Employment Details:

• Location: Horley, Surrey
• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children, tracking their progress and supporting their individual development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding across the setting at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection guidelines.
