Job summary

Randstad are seeking a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming Early Years team in Horley, Surrey. You will be a Key Person, delivering EYFS activities and supporting children aged 0-5 in a safe, stimulating setting.

The role is full-time, 8:00–18:00, five days per week, with safeguarding, high standards of care, and opportunities for CPD. A Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification and DBS are required or in process.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
• Proven experience in an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and child protection guidelines.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) before starting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, tracking progress and supporting development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate EYFS activities.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and safeguarding.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods and outdoor play.

Employment Details:

• Location: Horley, Surrey
• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person to a designated group of children, tracking their progress and supporting their individual development.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding across the setting at all times.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues through clear communication.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including mealtimes, rest periods, and outdoor play.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within an EYFS nursery setting.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection guidelines.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
