Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Assistant in Neath, Wales to support children aged 0-5 in early years development. You will help deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and work closely with nursery staff to maintain a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates may hold Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualifications, have experience in nurseries, and show a caring, patient, and proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years desirable.
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of child development and early years learning.
• An understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of private day nurseries, Cylch Meithrin and Flying Start settings across Neath in their search for a Nursery Assistant. These early years settings focus on providing a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can develop their confidence, independence and essential learning skills through play.

We are looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a long-term basis, supporting children throughout their early years development. The successful Nursery Assistant will help deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Phase and Curriculum for Wales, support children's individual needs and work closely with nursery staff to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years desirable
• Experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery or childcare setting
• Knowledge of child development and early years learning
• An understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability and a 'can-do' attitude
