Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 SEND LSA for a full-time, long-term role starting in September in Sheldon. You will support pupils with complex needs, including SLD, PMLD and communication difficulties, within a welcoming primary SEND environment.

You will collaborate with teaching staff to deliver high-quality support and help students reach their potential, with opportunities for CPD and a supportive onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with SEND in school or specialist settings.
• Knowledge of supporting pupils with EHCPs and complex needs.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary SEND school in Sheldon, supporting the recruitment of a Level 3 SEND LSA. The school provides specialist education for pupils who all have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), offering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and reach their individual potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time, long-term Level 3 SEND LSA to start in September. The successful Level 3 SEND LSA will support pupils with a range of needs including physical difficulties, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), specific communication difficulties, visual impairment, hearing impairment and multisensory impairment, working closely with teaching staff to provide high quality support both in and out of the classroom.

The successful Level 3 SEND LSA will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEND within a school or specialist setting
• Knowledge of supporting pupils with EHCPs and a range of complex additional needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
