Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated Level 2 SEND Learning Support Assistant for a Stechford primary SEND school. The role starts in September and is a full-time, long-term position supporting pupils with complex needs including SLD, PMLD, visual/hearing impairment and multisensory needs.

You will work closely with teachers to provide high quality support in and out of the classroom, ensuring a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND within a school or specialist setting.
• Knowledge of supporting pupils with EHCPs and a range of complex additional needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary: £94.34 - £102.76 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary SEND school in Stechford, supporting the recruitment of a Level 2 SEND LSA. The school provides specialist education for pupils who all have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), offering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and reach their individual potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time, long-term Level 2 SEND LSA to start in September. The successful Level 2 SEND LSA will support pupils with a range of needs including physical difficulties, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), specific communication difficulties, visual impairment, hearing impairment and multisensory impairment, working closely with teaching staff to provide high quality support both in and out of the classroom.

The successful Level 2 SEND LSA will have:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with SEND within a school or specialist setting
• Knowledge of supporting pupils with EHCPs and a range of complex additional needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, caring and proactive approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
