Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SLD school in Basildon to recruit a dedicated SEND LSA for a long-term, full-time role starting in September. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, helping deliver engaging activities and promoting communication and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly SLD.

The school is committed to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills through personalised learning and therapeutic support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND LSA on a long-term, full-time basis from September. The successful SEND LSA will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping to deliver engaging learning activities while promoting communication, independence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
