Job summary

Playday Nursey Barons Court is seeking an Apprentice Educator to join the team while studying towards a Level 3 Childcare qualification. You’ll work with qualified practitioners to support children aged 0-5 in a warm, stimulating environment.

You will learn on the job with 20% off-the-job learning incorporated into your day, and Realise as the training provider will support your Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 0-5 years preferred but not essential.
• GCSE Level 4 or above in English and/or Maths preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate and engage effectively with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• To work within the ethos of our Nurseries and provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.
• Support well-being and learning for all children with guidance from qualified staff.
• Assist in planning and preparation of activities to meet individual needs and liaise with parents.
• Record observations, assessments and keep records of children’s learning and development.
