Job summary

NVD is seeking an experienced Level 3 Automotive Technician for our Southampton Workshop to perform high-standard vehicle preparation and technical rectification before delivery. The role emphasizes complex diagnostics, PDI tasks, and participation in campaigns for popular brands such as BYD, Maxus, and Omoda.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, using modern diagnostic tools, performing ADAS calibrations, and possibly mentoring junior technicians while adhering to Lean SOPs to maintain

Qualifications

• Formal Level 3 light vehicle technician qualification (or equivalent City & Guilds/IMI).
• Experience in professional automotive workshop environment; main dealer or large-scale vehicle logistics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Rectification using computerised tools to resolve faults.
• PDI & Technical Campaigns including recalls and manufacturer-led software/hardware campaigns.
• ADAS calibration, EV battery replacement, and 4-wheel alignment using specialist equipment.
• Adhere to Lean/SOPs to ensure quality and efficiency in high-volume throughput.
• Mentor apprentices and lead small teams to meet standard hour targets.
