Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd represents a client in Southampton seeking a qualified Diagnostic Vehicle Technician for a modern workshop in Hampshire. The role offers a competitive salary up to £37,000, with on-target earnings up to £52,000, and a performance-based bonus scheme.

Hours are 08:30–17:30, Monday to Friday. Benefits include toolbox insurance up to £20,000, 30 days holiday plus a birthday off, long service holidays, private health and wellbeing services, life assurance up to three times

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics and electrical fault-finding.
• Working knowledge of multiple vehicle brands and models.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle diagnostics, fault-finding, and electrical system assessments.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Use the latest workshop equipment for accurate diagnostics and timely work.
• Complete work within specified timeframes with high quality.
• Record all work accurately and comprehensively; participate in manufacturer training.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and provide technical customer guidance.

• Completing work within specified timeframes, maintaining high-quality standards
• Recording all work accurately and comprehensivelyParticipating in manufacturer training to stay current with technological advancements

• Providing excellent customer service and technical advice as necessary

Requirements:

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics and electrical fault-finding
• Working knowledge of multiple vehicle brands and models is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently
• Full UK driving licence; a clean licence is desirable
• A professional attitude and passion for automotive diagnostics
