Job summary

Summerhill Academy in Bristol is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. The role is part-time (33.75 hours/week, term-time with inset days) and focuses on supporting students with additional needs to access the curriculum and improve attainment.

You will work under the teacher to implement learning activities, deliver interventions, and contribute to students’ social and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering learning support to children with additional needs.
• Ability to adapt activities to individual learning requirements.
• Awareness of safeguarding requirements and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs to access the curriculum.
• Deliver planned learning activities and interventions alongside teachers.
• Monitor progress and support social and emotional wellbeing.
