Job summary

Taylor Road Primary School in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support SEND pupils and delivery of learning interventions across the primary phase, including 1:1 and small group work.

The role runs 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays during term time (39 weeks a year). The school offers a collaborative environment, STARFISH values, and opportunities for professional development for staff and pupils alike.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting SEND and teaching in a primary school.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Passion for education and a commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Engage pupils in learning and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Act as a role model, demonstrating the STARFISH Values to inspire and motivate our pupils.
• Collaborate with teachers to share progress and outcomes, contributing to the assessment and evaluation process as well as target setting for individual pupils.
• Provide support to pupils with SEND and English as an Additional Language, ensuring their needs are met.
• Demonstrate commitment to the learning of all pupils, fostering a love for education and personal growth.
• Possess first aid qualification, ensuring safety and wellbeing of students (training can be given).
