Job summary

St Mary’s Primary School, Brymbo, is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support Year 1 and Year 2 with 30 hours per week during term time. The role involves assisting with literacy, numeracy and wellbeing, preparing resources and promoting positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Has experience in Phonics (read & write inc) (desirable)
• Is caring, reliable and a good team player

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Can build strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities
• Work with individuals and small groups to support literacy, numeracy and wellbeing
• Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom organisation
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion for all pupils
• Contribute to assessment and record-keeping under the direction of the teacher
• Support pupils with additional learning needs
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
