Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Salford, supporting KS1/KS2. You will work 1:1 with SEND students and alongside teachers to tailor support and nurture learning in a caring classroom environment.

The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm, with a daily PAYE rate of £95–£100 depending on experience. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience with SEND is beneficial but not essential.
• Positive and flexible approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of learning activities and lessons for students with SEND.
• Provide one-to-one support or work with small groups of students.
• Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
