Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Salford. Based in KS1 and KS2, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to students in a nurturing classroom.

The role involves 1:1 support with students with SEND across the class, monitoring progress and providing feedback. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience working with SEND students is beneficial but not essential.
• A positive and flexible approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of learning activities and lessons for students with SEND.
• Provide one-to-one support or work with small groups of students.
• Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
