As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting students with diverse needs, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2025.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to assist with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help manage student behaviour and engagement. Your contribution will help ensure that all students, including those with additional learning needs, can access the curriculum and make consistent progress.
Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and intervention programmes.
Support pupils with special educational needs, disabilities, or social, emotional and mental health needs.
Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and pupil well-being in line with the school's policies.
Prepare and maintain learning resources and the classroom environment.
Contribute to assessment and record-keeping under the direction of the class teacher.
Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals as needed.
A minimum of 6 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
A relevant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
A good understanding of the national curriculum and how to support learners across key stages.
A nurturing, patient and empathetic approach with a passion for su
