Job summary

Aspire People is partnering with a growing Multi Academy Trust in Bury to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position within a primary school.

The successful candidate will work in a classroom setting, supporting teaching and learning across the class and providing targeted SEND support where required. You will help pupils access the curriculum and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities.
  • Understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Bury
Hours: Full Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Aspire People is working in partnership with a successful and growing Multi Academy Trust in Bury to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position within one of its primary schools.

The successful candidate will work within a classroom setting, with the specific year group determined by their strengths, experience and the needs of the school. You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the class, whilst also providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs where required.

This is a varied role requiring someone who can balance whole-class support with more focused interventions, helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities
  • Have an understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practice
  • Be adaptable and able to work across different key stages if required
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be committed to helping every child succeed

Requirements
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
